rufus

i am not a crafty person. my sewing box is one of those cheap 99 cent purse kit's you can buy at walmart, complete with plastic scissors and thimble. i have never owned nor do i know how to operate a sewing machine. and yet, ladies and gentlemen, beyond all expectations.. i have created rufus.

i am amazed as to how easy it was to make this horribly satisfying creature with only my cheepo sewing kit and a pair of 50 cent socks. if you'd like to give it a spin here's the instructions i used (snipped from a martha stewart magazine)... now if you'll excuse me, i'm off to go play with my puppy.

How absolutely adorable!!! They remind me of the sock monkeys a friend of the family used to make when I was a kid!!

Too cute! I got your package today! Too fun! I hung the monkey with my chinese monket charm and I plan to put the magnat in my little office when I get it finished. But I didn't find a sock dog or cat anywhere in the box.....:-D

AH, I keep thinking it's going to be so much work to make one of these fellows (I bought the magazine I loved the idea so much). But now I'm definitely making a Rufus of my own tomorrow only I'm naming it EeP after a certain photoblog. ;)
