mocking bird

one of the local birds decided to give us a little visit this morning.. by way of smacking himself pretty good into our living-room windows.

we've decided it would prolly be best to let the poor thing hang on our porch for a while, at least until he gets his senses back. it's the best we can do.. i can imagine he's not looking too forward to the mocking he's going to receive from the others birds on his way back in.

Hehe, I think the other birds are probably wearing "Been there, done that" t-shirts under their feathers ... I've seen birds smack into windows so many times... I can't believe how close this shot is - the bird looks beautiful this close. :D

yes! yes.. as far as i know the birdie made it safley to the trees and his family. we left him to recover on the porch and three hours later her was gone, with only a small pile of poop to remember him by.
