The tall building in the foreground was once called the First Interstate Building and then the First National (or was it the other way around) and loathed by everyone who had their view blocked by it when looking out from Washington Park. What's it called now? Anyway, in addition to evoking all sorts of wonderful emotions, your photos also make me homesick. I'm an exiled Portlander, who still loves every square inch of the West side and even occasionally misses parts of the East side, but especially Washington Park.
